This course will focus on using English as a tool for practical communication in a variety of situations. The three primary aims are as follows:
1. Learn vocabulary and expressions useful in a variety of situations
2. Improve speaking and active listening skills
3. Through intensive practice via pair work and group work, gain the confidence and skills to use English in real life

Students will be separated into two groups. Students who were in Ms. Evans' class for "English Communication I" will switch to Ms. Nootbaar's class for "English Communication II". Students who were in Ms. Nootbaar's class for "English Communication I" will switch to Ms. Evans' class for "English Communication II".

Evaluation will be based on effort & attitude (20%), classwork & homework (40%), test & presentation (40%).

Handouts will be distributed each week.

Students are expected to attend regularly and participate actively in class.
